A limited release from the Speyside Distillery, presented by the single cask experts of Dram Mor. This whisky was matured for 8 years, with a secondary maturation in a first fill Moscatel wine cask. A fascinating distillery, Speyside is quite young by Scottish Malt producer standards, having begun producing in 1990. They have the look of a much older distillery though because it was built using an existing 18th century barley mill and croft house.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet butterscotch candies, ambrosia cream and juicy red pears.

Palate: Rich and decedent, fruity with a touch of sweet red berries, all sitting above a white pepper kick from the oak. Light spring like with a note of sparkling honey wine.

Finish: Warming, dry, yet delicate. Some agave nectar. More of a sensation than distinct flavours, but what a sensation!
