Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is a long-standing favourite here at Royal Mile Whiskies, both with our team and our customers. Rich, oily and honeyed, it stands apart from many of its Islay neighbours by dialling down the smoke and letting its depth shine. There’s still a coastal edge to it, with a touch of ashy brine rather than full-blown bonfire smoke. A balance we really love. Distilled on the remote north-east coast of Islay since 1881, Bunnahabhain has quietly built a loyal following. This 12 Year Old expression has only improved in recent years, thanks to the higher bottling strength (46.3%) and the move to non-chill filtration both adding to its weight and flavour. This is a single malt whisky we’re always recommending and constantly restocking. A must-try Islay malt that belongs on every whisky shelf. Its consistency also makes it a perfect gift for any whisky lover.

Nose: Fresh and aromatic, fruity and floral with hints of dried fruit.

Palate: Light with fruit notes, nutty flavours with a sweetness and slight hints of vanilla and caramel.

Finish: Long and lingering, rich, full-bodied and a hint of sea salt.
