Tasting Notes

Staff Tasting Notes
Colour: Burnt golden syrup.
Nose: Sweet heathery, campfire smoke with macerated dried fruits. A spicy charcter with a faint feel of coriander. A little bit of time reveals a fresh fruitiness (banana chips) that starts to pop it's head out. It has a big barbeque quality to it too.
Palate: A mouth coating meatiness is the first feeling you get and the smoke envelops the palate, if you choose to hold onto it for a little bit of time. When it starts to sweeten the main flavours are that of figs and ripe cherries.
Finish: Long and lasting. The fruity smoke stays for an epic amount of time.
Comments: It may be matured in "double first fill sherry casks" but the flavour of this is wonderfully balanced out by the smoke.

Colour: Rich mahogany.
Nose: Sherried spice and ripe bananas combine with toasted hazelnuts and baked apple.
Palate: Well-balanced, dry peat at first mellowing out to maraschino cherries, warm dark chocolate entices the palate.
Finish: Enduring sweet smoke.
