Staff Tasting Notes

Nose: Wet wood smoke initially, with the scent of a pile of autumn leaves after a heavy rain coming after.

Palate: Sweet and earthy smoke on the palate, with an acidic edge towards the back. Orange and treacle with just a hint of charred bread. After adding a couple drops of water, it becomes rounder and softer. Hints of marshmallow begin on the mid palate, and a slight new leather note opens on the back palate, providing a balancing bitterness. Has the mouthfeel of thick gravy.
