Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Soon soft, gentle and well-integrated, with appetising aromas of baked apple and orange zest, soft beeswax, crystalized orange and a cedar-like, spiced note. Grows sweeter, with hints of brown sugar and sponge cake; then fruity, with notes of red apple, sweet honey and rich fruit bread, and an embracing warmth.
Palate: Smooth and slightly waxy. The taste is sweet and spicy, with some acidity, even a shake of salt. Fruity, with a lightly smoky, burnt and slightly savoury edge. Raisin-rich, with a smooth barley sugar note, before growing spirity and lightly mentholic; then drier and lightly chalky.
Finish: Long, with an enduring warmth. Clean and pleasingly bitter, with a gentle, cleansing pine-dryness.
