This global release uses whisky produced in Rosebank's last years of production before closing and perfectly embodies the refined, fruity, floral influence of the lowlands in every dram. It showcases a classically balanced symphony of flavours, including dried stone fruits, refreshing pineapple, and butterscotch with a hint of pepper.
The texture of this bottle is buttery smooth with a palate hinting to bready malt, herbs, toffee sweets, and tropical fruits. Rich cinnamon banana bread, wildflowers, and soothing chamomile tea take centre stage before leaving a dry finish of lemon and toasted oak.
Rosebank 1991 Connoisseurs Choice is a collector’s whisky bottled in 2008 from American oak and Sherry refill barrels. Triple distilled and independently bottled, the dominant notes of this bottle include lemon-lime citrus, warm cocoa, dry red wine, and spicy rose petals. The finish for this dram is gentle and sweet.
