If you’re after a dram that’s rich and full of flavour, Glencadam is the way to go.
Glencadam whiskies are made with care, and as a result each bottle delivers a unique and satisfying experience.
With that being said, they still all provide the soft flavour profiles that Glencadam is known for.
Our range of single malts from this distillery captures that, and are sure to impress both seasoned whisky enthusiasts and newcomers alike. You can order your bottle online for nationwide delivery or can click and collect from our store.
Glencadam has set-up its distillery in order to maximise soft, creamy textures. Everything is in place to make sure that the whisky being made has notes of the raspberries and strawberries that it is becoming known for. If you're lucky enough to be drinking one of their older expressions you may even find a gentle nutty quality seeping into what you're drinking. Our staff have long been fans of this lesser known distillery.

Glencadam distilley was opened in 1825 by George Cooper. Over the next few decades it passed through several owners (which was a very common occurrence for distilleries at the time.) The first long term stability came in 1891 when Glencadam was purchased by Glasgow whisky blender George Thompson & Co. To this day Glencadam is still used in many blends seen all over the world. After this Glencadam's ownership followed what became a very common pattern in the 20th century. Hiram Walker bought the distillery when George Thompson & Co. folded and theylater sold the distillery to Allied Lysons (later Allied Domecq). Allied made the decision to mothball Glencadam in the year 2000.
In 2003 Glencadam was purchased by independent whisky company Angus Dundee Distillers. The distillery resumed production and has been making fine whisky ever since. Glencadam's production has been split between producing whisky for Angus Dundee's vast portfolio of blends and a carefully chosen range of single malt whiskies.
Recently, we've seen a number of new releases from Glencadam including cask finishes and older expressions. These, while slipping under the radar of the national press, have been warmly received in the whisky world. Since 2003 Glencadam has continued to grow in stature and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.
