We've done some thinking and we've come to the conclusion that we've not come across many whiskies which are fully of smoky flavour but also finished in Sauternes wine casks; but that is exactly what we have here. The spirit was first distilled at the Kilchoman farm distillery in 2012 and primarily matured in ex-bourbon barrels. The whisky was then moved to the Sauternes cask for a period of five months, adding a sweet fruity kicks to this limited edition Islay malt.

Nose: Maritime peat smoke, citrus and tropical fruit with hints of buttery sweetness.
Palate: Soft creamy chocolate and liquorice with waves of peat smoke, cinnamon and mixed fruit.
Finish: Layered peat smoke and fruit with lasting honey sweetness.
