If you're a fan of whisky which doesn't shy away from a challenge then Craigellachie is the distillery for you. The huge oily character has long been utilized by Master Blenders when crafting their signature drams. This release from Berry Brother's and Rudd has also been bottled at a hefty 60.1% ABV.

Official Tasting Notes

A quick visual inspection makes it clear this is a thick, oily distillate, coating the glass. The nose does not disappoint, with notes of waxed jackets, barley oil and paraffin lamps. The waxy condensed-milk-like barley notes and new leather, very thick and complex. An equally rewarding finish gives cloves, beeswax and yet more barley.
