Tamdhu whisky is a single malt scotch whisky hailing from the village of Knockando in Banffshire, Scotland. This area is part of the Speyside region of Scotland, known for having the most distilleries in the country.
The name Tamdhu is Gaelic for “little dark hill". The Tamdhu Distillery, which closed in Spring 2010, reopened the following June after being sold to Ian MacLeod Distillers.
It was then suggested that they produce a single malt, and two years later, in May 2013, this became a reality.
Tamdhu’s flavour includes satiny cinnamon, winter spices, berry jam and a minty finish.

The batch was aged from 2003 to 2024 and finished in a single Oloroso sherry cask. This cask only produced 245 bottles, making it an incredibly special and rare offering.
Punchy berries, chocolatey caramel, and ripe plums are the most dominant flavours of this whiskey.
Tamdhu Cigar Malt 2 is a bottle uniquely developed for cigar pairing. European oak Oloroso sherry casks develop its mature flavour.
