This is a name with a lot of history behind it, and at Royal Mile Whiskies, we have a range that reflects that with some great bottlings - both indys and officials.
This is a whisky that is used in blends - namely Chivas Regal - but that’s not to say it can’t stand up on its own.
This whisky can offer up some nuttiness with strong malty notes, while still maintaining that iconic fruity profile that Speyside is known for.
A Distillery Dating Back To The 18th Century
From its foundation as the Milton Distillery in the 1700s to bankruptcy in the 1900s to being auctioned off to the Chivas Brothers, this whisky is storied.
It has all the history you would expect as a distillery that has been going for two and a half centuries - fires, explosions, it has it all!
With all that history comes an ability to perfect some fantastic single malt Scotch whisky - although much of this distillery's whisky ends up in Chivas’ marquee Regal blend.
That being said, there are some brilliant bottles that we have in our range currently, including a few showstoppers with decades of maturation.
Today, Strathisla is the oldest distillery in operation in Speyside, and it’s being brought up more and more as a single malt, rather than part of the Chivas blend.

You’ll often be able to find a Strathisla Whisky 12 in our stock, a classic Speyside malt with a mix of fruitiness and dry, malty hay notes.
