St Raphael Le Quina Rouge

Le Quina Rouge is a French aperitif made of red wine mixed with Quinquina bark and bitter orange peels. Quinquina bark is also known as cinchona bark plant and contains quinine, it was first introduced into the Europe by 17th century missionaries who brought it from Peru. St Raphael's recipe of wine and Quinquina aperitif was first created in 1830 by Dr Adémar Juppet.

Official Tasting Notes: The intense and distinguished Quina Red is a subtle combination of plants and spices, dominated by cocoa. On the palate, huge vinosity gives the attack a sensation of power perfectly balanced by sweetness and the well-structured tannins provided by the quinquina bark and Colombo. The aromatic complexity peaks in notes of orange peel, chocolate and vanilla.
