Redbreast Lustau Edition

The Redbreast Lustau edition captures everything that fans of Redbreast have come to love but adds an extra dimonsion to the profile. It is aged in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-sherry casks before spending 1 year in specially selected fist-fill butts from the respected Bodegas Lustau in Jerez.
Staff Tasting Notes
Nose: Smooth and rich on the nose with plenty of bourbon style toffee and sweeteness. A slightly dusty liquorice on top of short crust pastry. Fig and rocket salad at the back. All melds together beautifully.
Palate: Powerful and sweet on the palate and really moreish. Gentle tannin styles of damp leather and tea bags.
Comments: Really enjoyable and exhibits the Redbreast style perfectly.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich infusion of dark fruits, prunes, dates and figs with liquorice , marzipan, toasted oak and Redbreast spices.
Palate: Creamy Pot Still with Redbreast spices balanced with richness of sherry finish and contribution of fresh Spanish oak.

The Sexton is a single malt Irish whiskey created at the Old Bushmill's Distillery by master blender Alex Thomas.
The Sexton
There aren't many distilleries across the world that have made quite the impact that Kavalan have in the past few years.
Created at Midleton, the Redbreast is a single pot-still whiskey, meaning it is made from a combination of malted and unmalted barley to create a richer palate on the finished product.
Curiously, the producers described this whisky as 'Dramatic, brooding and compressed'...perhaps they are channeling the distillery's location in the cramped centre of the seaside town of the same name ...
Even though Arran's history is relatively short, they see this bottling as return to the style of some of the earliest Arran Single Malt, which was mostly matured in Sherry casks.
Macallan's 10 year old single malt, matured in the sherry casks for which it is famous.
