Port Dundas 1990 27 Year Old Sovereign

Port Dundas once sat on the banks of the river Clyde and produced a fresh grain whisky mostly used in many of Scotland's leading blends. It is now one of Glasgow's many lost distilleries but there are still casks maturing in warehouses all over Scotland. This 27 year old single cask, single grain whisky is easy drinking and full of light, sweet flavour.
Port Dundas 27 Year Old Sovereign

Nose: Bourbon notes, fresh wood and old sawdust. Damp play dough.

Palate: Molasses, sweet honey. A hefty weight.

Finish: Lovely creaminess which develops into toffee sauce.

Official Tasting Notes This golden whisky has a nose of brown sugar, cherries and apple. The palate is warm and subtle with ripe fruits, caramel and a hint of pepper. The finish is long, with lingering fruit.
