On the East coast of Scotland, just outside Angus, lies the Arbikie Farm Distillery. Owned by 4th generation farmers John, Iain and David, it champions farm-to-bottle, single estate spirits.
At Arbikie the focus is very much on ultra provenance, hand crafted products. The growth, harvest, fermentation, distillation, bottling and labelling all take place on the farm.
The distilling team consists of Head Distiller Kirsty Black and Christian Perez, who are both graduates of Herriot Watt University's acclaimed Brewing & Distilling course in Edinburgh. It is this high level of techincal knowledge that crafts the triple distilled Vodka and Gin. Their expertise has also allowed them to experiment with new products like their chilli infused vodka, and branch out into double distilled Scotch Whisky.
We have seen them grow from a new startup distillery to a strong brand with great products. They are certainly folks to keep an eye on for further experiments.
