The Teeling Whisky Company are an independent Irish Whisky producer based in Dublin. The Teeling family has had a history in whisky production since 1782, but the original distillery did not last and the later decline in the Irish whisky industry silenced the last Dublin distillery in 1976.
The new Teeling distillery was set up by Jack Teeling, who had continued the family connection to distilling with his previous role as managing Directer of Cooley's Distillery. Teeling, as it now stands, is the first new distillery in Dublin for 125 years and is just a stone's throw from where the original Teeling distillery once stood.
The whiskies themselves are very carefully crafted, with great care taken in the cask selection. Different casks are hand picked, married together to create a consistent and high quality base, then transferred to a variety of interesting casks for a secondary maturation that adds a world of depth to the flavour. Each variety is then bottled at 46% and without chill-filtration.
