Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

Made at Midleton Distillery near Cork, Green Spot is a mixture of 7 to 10 year old single pot still Irish whiskey, that have been aged in 1st fill bourbon casks, refill bourbon casks and ex sherry casks. Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey is different from Scottish Single Malt Whisky as they use a percentage of unmalted barley in the process, which affects fermentation, creating an oilier. more viscous spirit.
Staff Tasting Notes
Nose: Lime, juicy lemon notes, toffee and honey. Aromatic balsa wood and, honey suckle and an oiliness. Berry fruits and a floral perfume note with water.
Palate: An initial grassy burst, with lemon and lime zest, followed by a toffee sweetness and oaky spice.
