Glen Grant 1995 Celebration of the Cask Exclusive
This bottling, exclusive to Royal Mile Whiskies, comes from a rather leaky ex-Bourbon cask. We might have expected an outturn of 200 or so bottles, but sadly only 120 were yielded from cask #60454. Thankfully, even though the bottles are a little rarer, they are no less delicious and it is one of the finer examples of Glen Grant we have tried. A whole mixture of ripe fruits, with an accent of stone fruits. Plums, peaches, and greengages sprang to mind, but with a thick cereal base and oily texture. A Speyside single malt at its peak.

Staff Tasting Notes
Musty, old orange oil develops into madeira cake topped with peaches. A hint of aloe vera and even anise after a while but then plenty of caramels and toffee pennies.
Great texture, the caramel theme continues and more orange tinged flavours emerge. With water it became a touch creamier and was evocative of Terry's Chocolate Orange .
Subtle cocoa and tangy boiled sweets straight from the sweet shop jar.
