Deanston 2008 Brandy Cask Finish

Not only is Deanston one of the most unusual looking distilleries in Scotland, it has a reputation for releasing very interesting and unusual drams. A cask strength, limited release, this 2008 vintage has been finished in fine brandy casks. This uncommon step has provided this whisky with notes of grape, honey and vanilla; making for a lot to mull over!
Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Hints of dried fruit with predominant grape notes, balanced with sweet vanilla, creamy toffee and subtle exotic spices.

Palate: Rich oak with a distinctive dried fruit and brandy influence, creamy toffee, deep honeyed vanilla and sweet malt.

Finish: A long finish with lingering dried fruit flavours and a subtle spice.
