Carsebridge 1973 Sovereign 42 Year Old
Carsebridge is gone. It was closed in 1983, and many parts of the building have now been knocked to the ground. But, as is quite often the case with whisky, the spirit produced there has lived on. This 42 year old expression has been bottled by Hunter Laing an dis limited to 167 bottles.
Official Tasting Notes
A copper coloured whisky with a rich nose of vanilla initially, then sultanas, raisins and liquorice. On the palate it is smooth bodied and pleasant with sweet vanilla, rich fruits and milk chocolate with nuts. The finish is long, satisfying and sweet with a fruity aftertaste.
