Staff Tasting Notes
A strange trick of the eyes on the palate! A pale, hazy orange marmalade in colour, but stong coffee notes through the nose with hints of vanilla and cocoa. The palate takes strong coffee notes right through, with bursts of a semi-sweet body, vanilla and dry chocolate. The lactose lends well to the beer, adding plenty of thickness to the body, but not making it a sickly sweet affair in any way. The trickery continues into the ABV, as the flavours are enhanced by the alcohol, yet it doesn't suggest a 7% beer when you try it.
