Adrien Camut 6 Year Old Pays d'Auge Calvados
Camut is a great small artisan producer of Pays d'Auge Calvados. Like many Calvados producers, they have their own bespoke pot still (a Camut Still). The spirit will be placed in to French oak casks, and transferred between these casks for 2 years, allowing oxidation to develop flavours in the liquid. After 2 years, it is then transferred in to slightly larger oak vats for a further 4 years. Oxidation and oak ageing will continue to develop complex flavours until it is ready to be bottled at 6 years old. Many different apple varieties are used, including Bedan, Bisquet, Frequin Rouge, Marin Onfroy and more.

A lively fresh apple note, with a note oak which balances the nose.
A spicy palate, with caramelised apples and a lengthy, full finish.
